Boo !

It’s officially the scariest time of the year, and you know what that means. Houses are spooked up, our kids are walking around as their favorite characters, and there’s a whole lot of candy involved. That’s right, Halloween is back!

However, have you ever considered stepping out of the confines of normal trick-or-treating? Don’t get us wrong, trick-or-treating is a must. It’s a childhood tradition that no child should ever be deprived of. But what if you turned Halloween into something much more than just one activity? We’re talking a whole-day bonanza that will leave your kids wanting more than just the candy.

Let’s plan it out.

Fashion Show:

Before your kids run off to collect their candy at the spookiest houses on the lane, invite their friends over and host a fashion show. After all, aside from candy, the best part of Halloween is dressing up as your favorite character or just wearing your favorite outfit. For example, our Camo Dino Onesie has a built-up hoodie of a dinosaur's head. Not only is it perfect for all the tiny Jurassic Park lovers, but once your child puts it on, they won’t want to take it off.

Therefore, set up a ramp in your backyard, or even a red carpet indoors, and have them strut down in their beloved costumes. It’s a fun way to make memories and get them in the spirit of the Halloween excitement.

Games Night:

After the craze of trick-or-treating, kids are on an all-time high. And a games night is the perfect way to burn out all the pent-up energy. However, what makes the games part of the night truly amazing is the fact that us adults get to join in on the fun as well.

Whether it’s something as simple as board games and cards, or requires a little more imagination with charades, perhaps sticking to the theme of the spooky season and set up a mini haunted house, games night is the perfect way to prolong the fun.

Movie Time:

There’s nothing better than winding down any night with a movie. Cozying up in ultra-plush pjs such as our Tie Dye Swirl Onesie and watching your favorite movie is something everyone loves doing. But on Halloween, it’s a whole different experience, especially for kids.

Watching scary movies that have a thrill to them is another beloved Halloween tradition. While movies have the occasional scare that makes our little ones scream and jump, they also bring a few giggles. However, it also allows our children to face their fears while surrounded by the comfort of their home. Furthermore, it teaches them that they can stand up to all the scary things in the world.

On the other hand, if you just want to end the night on a funny yet wholesome note, then a good old comedy movie is the way to go. These movies not only bring families closer but also remind everyone that Halloween is not just about ghosts and ghouls but also togetherness and joy.

Conclusion

Halloween is one of the most fun times of the year for children. While trick-or-treating will always be the quintessential Halloween experience, it’s also about making memories that will last a lifetime. Therefore, by introducing few more activities to the evening, you can make a normal Halloween experience something extra special for the tiny humans of the house.
